Part of the acoustic treatment is now done. Also some new gear inside. Maybe some day it will look like a proper place to write music in

The gear is now where it should be.

Well, almost. I should make speakers stands. But so far it looks preety good – much better than it was before.

Acoustic treatment is the next stage.

New Studio

I’ve moved to a new house and now I got a lot of construction work to do. Here is how the studio looks right now:

Obviously not a place to make music in. First in the to-do list is to clean up all the dust and dirt and get the desk standing. Hopefully in the next few days…

Cronomi Records and Freshly Cut Tomato update

Good news! Freshly Cut Tomato will be a full scale release with proper distribution.  More info should be available soon at http://cronomi.com (still empty though).

Cosmic Silence had some problems providing his track for the mastering, so it will be replaced by a track from Radical Distortion which is equally good.

One more thing – I’ve changed the host for this website, so if you experience any broken links or errors, let me know and I’ll fix it. Happy 2008!

Cronomi Records – Freshly Cut Tomato

In an effort to contribute what I can to the tiny goa trance scene (which is just one label releasing music on physical media) I decided to make an experiment and try to release my very own compilation of new school goa trance.

For this reason and I am creating “Cronomi Records“, which will be my own label, if you can call it like that. This is by no means an effort to start a professional label with all things involved in such a thing. This will be a very small “music releasing project” concentrating on small-scale editions of albums and compilations and online releases.

The first release is a compilation called “Freshly Cut Tomato“. This compilation includes tracks from both known and unknown artists, as well as two tracks which I was personally involved in (one remix and one collaboration). I tried to cover all aspects of modern new school goa, with influences from all genres such as minimal, progressive, darkpsy, fullon and more. Yet they are all connected by being psychedelic and emotional goa trance tracks made from the heart. The tracklist is as following:

This compilation will be professionaly mastered by Colin OOOD and will include artwork desiged by Basilisk of Ektoplazm. It will be available as a 50 copy limited edition CD (not because I want it to be super exclusive but because I have limited financial resources) or a digital download in both WAV and MP3 formats.

Audio samples of the tracks and a preview of the artwork will be available in the coming month, so watch this space for updates!

Golden Vibes 2 released, and a new Subra track

The OiG team (known for the Golden Vibes compilation) has released another free-to-download compilation – this time it’s a double one.

Here’s the release info:

The OiG team proudly presents to you the second part of our home-made compilation series Golden Vibes II – Guided by The Wonderboy. This release will surely make a huge success amongst you Goa-heads.
This release is in a double CD format and consists of various artists: worldwide-known artists, Israeli artists and non-Israeli artists, veteran artists and artists that are making their first steps in the music production industry.
In this release you will find Goa Trance in its widest form: from the darkest to the most melodic.
There was no post-production mastering done in the following tracks, and they are brought to you as they left the artists’ studios – just like the good old days.
We’ve made it known and clear that here at OiG we would keep on preserving the Goa Trance vibe, in order that the true spirit of this genre would keep delivering us the old energies that we all have experienced in the 90′s.
Our slogan is “Old Is Gold”, and so is the way we act. We make sure that this great music that has followed us since then would prosper by giving the proper exposure to the old-school and new-school Goa Trance artists.
The team puts a lot of efforts in brining you these releases and has made a great deal of coordination in releasing this current one. The biggest thanks goes to “The Wonderboy” whom contacted the artists, collected the tracks and made all the possible arrangements in order for this project to form into a finished release.
